With the vocal strength of a lion and the energy of a wild kingdom, Recording Artist/Songwriter Velli V. has been deemed as the crowned prince of the Hip-Pop industry. Hip-Pop is a musical combination of both urban hip-hop and pop music. This untapped genre has been the focal point for Velli V. and is already causing industry heads to take notice of his futuristic sound and his skate-rock image.
Velli V. is a twin city native of Texarkana, Texas. Coming up with the MDF musical family, it was no surprise that Velli V. would be caught embracing the mic and writing songs at a early age. Now Based in Dallas, Texas, it would not take long for Velli V.’s name to circulate the streets.
It was not until Multi-Grammy Producer/CEO Troy Taylor of SongBook Entertainment (Home of R & B Star Trey Songz) would challenge him to take his writing abilities to another level. After demoing a song with both Taylor and Velli V’s older brother, he decided to take his music serious and embark on the journey and brand in which he calls (V).
It would not be long that he would began recording songs and writing to the tracks of hot producers such as E. Miles (Trey Songz), Bei Major (Letoya Luckett), Young Starr (B Hamp), Eddie Galan (Jesse McCartney), and many others.
Because of his swift ability to write/demo, Velli V. would be introduced to Songwriter/Artist Eclipyse. After Eclipyse heard Velli V’s music, he offered him a major songwriting/publishing deal with Paradigm/Universal as a part of The Bakery Productions/Writing Team. However, it was Producer Knucklehead(Yung LA) that he would credit as the producer who developed his sound and help give him his hip-pop signature.
With a plan to take his movement across the nation, Velli V. has already began the journey of introducing his first mainstream effort in which he calls “Voyage to Venus”.
This mixtape is simply a music trip into the soul of a woman which caters in-depth relationships and world views. This project is projected to inspire world peace and love. With his “out-of-this-world” pop and urban hip-hop flavored songs, Velli V. is rocking the clubs and building a loyal fan base that has catapulted him from local to a potential global success.
With a bright and promising future ahead, Velli V. is definitely taking charge of his career and is moving in the (V) direction. He hopes his music will reach great height and leave a world wide impact.
